Kitesurf Scotland is Scotland's leading kitesurf school, owned by Grant Clayton - a local from Troon, South Ayrshire, who has been kitesurfing since the age of 12. Grant has managed kitesurfing schools throughout the world from Australia to the Caribbean!
We are devoted to providing high quality tuition along with sharing our experiences and passion of the sport with you. Our instructors have over 18 years of kitesurfing knowledge in all disciplines, you will be confident that you are in the hands of the experts.
Kitesurf Scotland offer an extensive range of lessons...from your first fly of a kite, to hydro-foiling, to big air riding!

Grant Clayton
Owner/principal instructor
Born in Troon. Grant is one of the most experienced Kitesurfing instructors in the country with over 18 years of kitesurfing experience from managing schools all over the globe to competing professionally on the British kitesurfing championships.
Grant will always make you feel at ease during your sessions with us!
Alan Reid (Aldo)
Assistant kitesurfing instructor + SUP
Aldo is one of the most experienced kitesurfers in our community here in Troon. With over 20 years of experience on the water and land, Aldo's great attitude and personality will give you a kitesurfing experience like no other. You are guaranteed to be leaving with a smile on your face.
You are in the hands of a legend!!
Liam Davidson
Kitesurfing Instructor
Liam is one of the most experienced kitesurfers in the country with over 15 years experience. Liam has managed one of the biggest kitesurfing school's In Australia and has continued his passion of teaching on return to the UK. Liams attitude and teaching techniques will have you hooked in no time!
Lori Provan
Media, events and bookings
A Troon local. Lori has 15+ years in watersport experience, including managing schools in Fuerteventura and Greece. You will see her at the beach promoting an all-round positive spirit.
Fraser Bell
Beach assistant
The local town shredder and Airush international rider at only aged 15. Fraser has a great drive for the sport. He has a super attitude - always smiling and eager to help you out with tips on your kitesurfing.

The beach fluff ball, you will either find him around the surf bus, on the beach or in the sea playing with his kitesurfing buddies! Top dog

Holly is our local rider who rides for Duotone Kiteboarding and ION. Holly has got many podium positions in the British Kitesurfing championship's.
Holly has heaps of a experiance and is a great ambassador for the sport!
Kojo Kostakis
The freestyle king! Kojo's old school freestyle moves are a real head turner. He is the king of style and knows how to put on a good show.

Our Scottish Highlands kitesurfer! John is a fantastic ambassador for kitesurfing here in Scotland. Always sharing the love, the stoke and making the most of everyday!
